        This week I learned about meaning of CALL. Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) is defined as "the search for and study of applications of the computer in language teaching and learning."And I learned about Uses of CALL In  English Language teaching CALL has been used or can be used for the purpose of language learning and teaching. The use of CALL can be divided as follows:

(1) Computer as Drill and Practice

(2) Computer as Tutor

(3) Computer as Simulation / Problem Solving

(4) Computer as Game

(5) Computer as Tool for ELT teachers and learners

(6) Applications of Internet for ELT.

          This week I learnt about the Thai false friends words that Thai people used from English in different meaning such as “Sexy” in English meaning means attract attention but “ Sexy ” in Thai means naked woman's dress . Then  I did exercise about Thai false friends . Afterthat ,our group presented  article  “ Applying Innovative Spirit to Multimedia Foreign Language Teaching “ .It made me know Positive Effects of Multimedia on Foreign Language Teaching .

          This week I learnt about how to combine the data and made my  corpus named Olympic . The teacher taught me to give the topic of the information I collected. There were  50705  words in my corpus. Afterthat,I learnt about how to use antconc that a freeware corpus analysis toolkit for concordancing and text analysis and downloaded it  from  http://www.laurenceanthony.net/software/antconc/

          This week I learnt about meaning and how to find word in corpus that are collection of all the available knowledge on a topic, or all the published material on a subject . Afterthat ,teacher taught me about how to collect the information to build  Corpus by myself. I had to collect all the information in Notepad. I also saved it in .txt to make the data ready to do the special corpus.

         This week ,I learnt about Corpus Linguistics by Dr. Kriangkrai  Vathanaloha from Srinakarinwinrot University. He told corpus  was  a collection of words and it was  a theory and methodology of language .I knew about the history of corpus .It was created since 1897.It had two cases ; the case for introspection that focus on language competence rather than language performance .The case for empiricism which believed that introspective was artificial. Then ,I learnt about types of corpus .There were seven types of corpus (Special corpus ,General corpus, Multilingual corpus, Parallel corpus , Learner corpus ,Historical or Diachronics corpus ,monitor corpus ) .After that , he taught process in corpus linguistics .Corpus could told about frequencies ,concordances ,collocations ,keyword, distribution information  and plot that I wanted to know how did it . Corpus was a useful material that I could use to applied in my teaching in the future.

          This week, I joined the seminar  of my major .That is seminar about Linguistics for teaching English. The lecturer is Professor  Dr. Budsaba Kanoksilapatham  who  came from English Department, Faculty of Art,Silpakorn University. She taught many useful thing which we never know .First,she taught about teaching methods pedagogy and linguistics competence. Then,I learnt Phonetics and Phonology such as how to pronounce the letter “ h” , consonant sound (think,thank,them) , and vowel sounds (full-fool ,back-bag) . Next,I did the pre-test about intonation and learned how to stress vocabulary from test (ceremony , recognize , anatomy , familiarize ). Next, I learnt about collcation , syntax , pragmatics, sociolinguistics , lexical sematics , slang word and a little corpus linguistics information. Although , this seminar will  not take long but I think it is very useful for me .

          This week ,teacher taught how to adding  friend’s address blogs links and how to choose and select gadgets such as clock ,calendar ,counter and Facebook QR code into my blog. Then ,Teacher taught how to write article in my blog and share it on public. I also learnt how to add video about English skills into my blog.

         This week was the first week of Computer Application in English Technology subject. Teacher explained the course syllabus for the understanding of all students. Teacher gave the information about the acronyms that are important in this course such as ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages),TESOL ( Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages),ELL (English Language Learner) etc.Then, I learnt about how to make weblog .Afterthat,I started to create my blog with G-Mail account and selected  the free template  form internet into my blog.
